The Tolly Group compared the Windows XP client version of Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.3 against security offerings from Kaspersky Lab, McAfee, Inc. and Trend Micro, Inc. The Tolly Group examined system start-up time, the impact on Microsoft Office 2007, on Internet Explorer, on file operations and on the time required to decompress a file archive. Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.3 consistently delivered faster response time than competing products tested.
