Abstract
The rise of foundation models officially marks the advent of a new era of intelligence. The wide application of foundation models in various industries is becoming a powerful driving force for service innovation and operation efficiency improvement, while significantly reducing operation costs. Huawei has identified this opportunity and launched NetMaster, a telecom foundation model application. With its excellent natural language interaction capability and chain-of-thought-assistance decision-making mechanism, NetMaster covers 90% of fault scenarios, effectively solves problems in key scenarios such as network health check and fault rectification, and builds a campus without the need of expert support, greatly unleashing network potential and accelerating intelligent operations of campus networks. This innovation helps campus networks improve operations efficiency and service scale.
To verify Huawei NetMaster's capabilities on campus networks, Tolly evaluated Huawei NetMaster's capabilities in network health check and fault rectification based on the Technical Requirements for Intelligent O&M Capability of Smart Campus Networks released by Network Innovation and Development Alliance (NIDA).
